교육목표

EDUCATION OBJECTIVE & GOAL

이화여자대학교 디자인대학원은 디자인학에 관한 이론의 연구와 독창적 조형 능력을 연구 ・ 개발하여 국가산업 및 환경, 문화발전에 공헌할 수 있는 전문 여성인력 양성을 목적으로 1982년 설립되었다.

본 대학원의 교육목표는 미래사회를 리드해나갈 차세대 여성디자인 리더를 육성하기 위해 최고의 교육과 연구시스템을 개발하여 학생들의 창작과 실무능력을 극대화시키는 데 그 목적이 있다. 특히 창의적 생산 활동을 확대 또는 지속시켜나갈 디자이너, 디자인관리자, 디자인기업가, 크리에이티브 디렉터를 대상으로 자질과 능력을 함양하기 위해 고급지식과 경험 그리고 디자인통찰력을 계발하는 데 중점을 두고 있다.
이와 같은 교육을 통해 아래와 같은 여성인재 상을 목표로 한다.

  1.          01 창의적 디자인 사고, 조형적 감각, 논리적 커뮤니케이션 능력을 고도화한다.
    1.          02 사회변화에 따른 트렌드와 라이프스타일을 주도할 디자인 통찰력을 기른다.
      1.          03 여성디자이너로서 국가와 산업 그리고 지역사회를 위해 봉사할 리더십을 함양한다.

The Graduate School of Design was established in 1982 for the purpose of cultivating a leading women’s workforce that contributes to national industrial, environmental, and cultural progress by conducting theoretical research in design and developing creative functions in modeling.

The educational goal of the GSD is to maximize creative and practical abilities of students through a higher education and research system thereby nurturing more women into becoming professionals that can lead the future in modern and classical design. In particular, the GSD focuses on developing insights in design and advancing the knowledge of creative directors, design entrepreneurs, design managers, and designers who will expand and sustain creative activities.

Through this education, we aim to cultivate leaders in the following ways:


  1.          01 Maximize competence in creative design thinking, artistic sense and logical communication skills.
    1.          02 Continue gaining insights in up-to-date lifestyles and trends.
      1.          03 Cultivate leadership in female designers that can contribute their expertise to their industry, community, country.
